PCI Compliance
Recently you received a communication from Pivotal Payments announcing its partnership with ControlScan, to help ensure that you comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
The card associations require all merchants to become PCI compliant to help defend against credit card fraud and data breaches. Utilizing a PCI compliant payment application or e-commerce gateway is not enough to be considered compliant. PCI compliance extends beyond the payment application and covers your systems and how you conduct business and manage your customer’s data. Non-compliant merchants are subject to penalties and fines in the event of a data compromise which, as you can imagine, severely impacts your customers as well as your business. We have made every effort to make the process as quick and easy as possible.
You are already enrolled in the ControlScan program. To access ControlScan’s merchant compliance portal, go to www.controlscan.com/pivotalpayments and login using the credentials provided in the previous email. If you have misplaced your login credentials or need assistance, please contact ControlScan Support at 800-554-3237 and have your merchant ID available. Once in the portal, you will find access to all of the tools you need to become PCI compliant.
Meeting PCI compliance standards is also great for business. By protecting against cardholder fraud you are providing a valuable service to your customers, while protecting possibly the biggest asset you have; the reputation of your business.
Sincerely,
ControlScan and Pivotal Payments
